
I’m the financial manager here at TechWolf. I’d like to tell you how we can save you money, and to do that I need to tell you how we save money.
First of all, we only have one flat rate; 60 dollars an hour. We don’t charge anything extra, ever, for any reason. No transportation fees and no overtime fees. We charge the same rate for 2pm on Tuesday as we do for 2am on Easter morning. Pretty cool huh?
So how do we pull this off? It’s a magic mixture of trade secrets and flat out obvious ideas. Unlike our competitors, we didn’t buy a fleet of company cars and we don’t pay rent for a brick-and-mortar store front. Those two things alone drastically reduce our monthly burn, saying nothing of all their related expenses (car insurance, building insurance, building utilities…etc).
Next up, we run on razor thin margins. Our goal is to get our costs as low as possible, so we can get our prices as low as possible. Now it’s a little tricky, but fortunately our clients stay our clients, and great word of mouth.
Finally, we’ve got a really dedicated team. A super ultra dedicated team. We only hire people who love their work. People who do the same thing at work that they would be doing at home in their free time. You know, like the dorky but lovable college student who would actually rather write macros for Microsoft Excel than go out partying (it’s ok, I’m making fun of myself).
We also use a bunch of in house techniques for streamlining collaboration and we make heavy use of methodologies like MT Goals and Scrum Development.
